Create a word search grid from your own list of words — for a classroom exercise, a birthday game or just for fun. Find the words right online by dragging your mouse, or print the grid. No data is sent to a server.
How it works
Enter the list of words to hide, choose the grid size, then generate: the words are placed in all 8 directions (horizontal, vertical, diagonal, forward or backward) and the remaining cells are filled with random letters to throw you off the trail. Click and drag across the grid to select a word and confirm it.
Why couldn't a word be placed?
If the grid is too small for the number or length of the words, some of them can't find a spot without overlapping incompatibly with a word that is already placed. Increase the grid size or reduce the number of words to fix the problem.
Can I print the grid for paper use?
Yes, just use your browser's print function (Ctrl+P or Cmd+P) once the grid is generated; the list of words to find is also shown below the grid.
The grid is generated locally in your browser; no word is sent to an external server.
