Work hours calculator
Quickly add up your hours worked over several days, taking breaks into account, like a simplified time clock. No schedule is sent to a server: everything is calculated in your browser.
| Day | Time worked |
|---|---|
| Monday | 8h00 |
Total: 8h00 (8.00 h)
How it works
For each row, the tool calculates the gap between the start time and the end time, then subtracts the break time you entered to get the time actually worked. The grand total then adds up all the rows, shown both in hours and minutes (easy to read) and in decimal format (useful for a payslip or a spreadsheet).
How do I handle a night shift that ends after midnight?
If the end time you enter is numerically earlier than the start time (for example start at 10:00 PM and end at 6:00 AM), the tool automatically assumes the end falls on the next day and adds 24 hours to the calculation, giving the correct duration of 8 hours in this example.
Why a total in decimal hours and not just hours/minutes?
The decimal format (for example 7.50 h instead of 7h30) is often what a payroll spreadsheet or time-based billing software expects, because it lets you multiply directly by an hourly rate with no extra conversion.
Your hours are only used in your browser, for the duration of the calculation, and are never saved or transmitted.
