YouTube channel banner generator
Create a YouTube channel header image in the official size (2560×1440 px), with a preview of the safe area shown on all devices, ready to download as a PNG.
How it works
The YouTube banner is only displayed in full on large screens (TV, desktop), while it is cropped on mobile and tablet: that's why YouTube recommends keeping every essential element (text, logo) inside a central "safe area" of 1546×423 px. Customize the title, subtitle and colors, then download the image directly in the exact size YouTube expects (2560×1440 px).
Why is my banner cropped on mobile but complete on desktop?
YouTube shows different portions of the banner depending on the device: the full 2560×1440 px image is only visible on very large screens. On mobile, only the central safe area is guaranteed to be visible, which is why you should always place important text there by turning on the safe area preview.
What file size does YouTube accept for a banner?
YouTube accepts PNG or JPG files up to 6 MB at 2560×1440 px with a 16:9 ratio. The PNG export generated by this tool already matches that exact resolution, ready to upload with no further editing.
The banner is drawn entirely in your browser using the Canvas API: no image is sent to a server to be generated.
