How it works

Whether you want to send several documents as a single attachment, archive a project folder or prepare a quick backup, this tool compresses your files with the standard DEFLATE algorithm, supported by every operating system (Windows, macOS, Linux) without any extra software.

Are subfolders preserved?

In this version, each file is added to the root of the archive under its original name. If two selected files share the same name, only the last one added to the ZIP is kept under that name: rename them first if needed before creating the archive.

Is there a limit on size or number of files?

The total size of the added files is limited to 500 MB, a reasonable limit that keeps compression fast and prevents your browser's memory from filling up. The number of files is not limited in itself, as long as the total size stays within that limit.

Compression happens entirely in your browser: your files are never sent to or stored on a server.
