How it works

Video conferencing apps like Zoom, Teams or Google Meet accept any image as a virtual background, as long as its aspect ratio is close to 16:9. This tool draws your composition (color, gradient or pattern, with optional text) directly onto a 1920x1080 pixel canvas, the recommended resolution for a sharp result even in full screen.

How do I set this background in Zoom or Teams?

Download the generated PNG image, then in Zoom: Settings → Backgrounds & Filters → "+" to add an image; in Teams: meeting options → Effects and avatars → browse to add a custom image. The procedure is similar in Google Meet via the video effects before joining a call.

Is the polka dot pattern suitable for professional use?

The subtle polka dot pattern on a solid color background stays understated and works well in a professional setting; for an even more neutral look, choose the "Solid color" option or a soft gradient between two similar shades rather than strongly contrasting ones.

The image is composed entirely with your browser's Canvas API, with nothing sent to a server.
